Message from the CEO

Welcome. I am Dongyoung Kim, CEO / Founder of the Mobility & Platform Association.

The way we move always changes faster than our rules can follow. Now that autonomous driving, robotaxis and platform transport have become reality, changes in mobility touch someone's livelihood, someone's investment and citizens' daily lives all at once. That is why debates in this field so easily turn into confrontation.

MPA works at the center of that confrontation. Our job is to set the table so that taxis and platforms, incumbents and new services, companies and workers, and central and local governments can sit together and begin the conversation from the same facts and data. Rather than speaking for one side, we want to design, together, practical solutions everyone can keep.

As an economist and policy researcher, I believe good rules come from structure, not declarations. Change takes root on the ground only when technology builds the evidence, institutions verify it, markets put a price on it and regulation sets the structure. That is why MPA organizes and shares the facts through daily briefings, research and seminars.

Technology crosses oceans, but the street always belongs to its city. MPA will look for ways to grow the pie for the whole industry, so that companies grow, workers are sustainable and users enjoy better mobility. I ask for your interest and participation in building a structure where the public and private interest grow together instead of colliding.
