About MPA
Where interests collide,
we look at the whole industry.
The Mobility & Platform Association (MPA) is an incorporated non-profit association established under Article 32 of the Civil Act with the permission of the Seoul Metropolitan Government (Permit No. 2021-95). We work where conflicts over the future of mobility are sharpest. The new ways of moving that autonomous driving and platforms bring always collide with someone's livelihood or someone's investment, and regulation is always a step behind.
MPA does not speak for any one side. We lay out the facts and data first, then build a table where different positions can talk on that common ground. What we protect is neither our own interest nor that of any single company, but the size of the pie for the whole industry.
What we do
- 01POLICY PARTNER
Policy partner
A policy partner that central and local governments trust and turn to. We translate field data and the voice of the industry into the language of policy, and follow through until a rule actually works on the ground.
- 02TRUSTED BROKER
Trusted broker
We take no side between stakeholders in sharp conflict. We understand each party's urgency, talk on the basis of facts, and build agreements everyone can keep rather than a win for one side.
- 03COLLABORATION PLATFORM
Collaboration platform
Even competing companies share problems they must solve together. We are the place where companies pool their efforts in the areas of cooperation no one can solve alone, such as safety standards, data standards, user trust and the regulatory foundation.
- 04INSTITUTIONAL DESIGN
Institutional design
We start from execution rather than declarations, and from reality rather than ideals. Analyzing domestic and international cases and data, we propose mobility rules that can be applied now and last.
Our principles
Balancing the public and private interest — kept through how we work, not what we say.
- 01We look at the whole industry. We do not represent the interests of any particular company or group.
- 02We speak from evidence.Every recommendation rests on data and research, and we disclose the evidence.
- 03We bring everyone to the table.Companies, workers, government and users: no one is left out of the discussion.
- 04We never forget the user. The final beneficiary of every rule is the citizen on the move.
- 05We stay until it is implemented. We do not stop at proposals; we take responsibility until a rule takes root on the ground.
